COMPETITIVE SQUAD
Our Competitive squad is coached by Rob.
It offers our swimmers up to 7.25 hours of training a week and is for those swimmers wishing to regularly compete in individual and team galas - working towards County; Regional and ultimately National times.
Training Times:
(swimmers should be poolside 10 minutes before session times for warm up)
Monday 18:45 to 20:45
Wednesday 18:45 to 20:45
Friday 19:00 to 20:15
Saturday 07:00 to 08:00
Sunday 07:00 to 08:00
Competitive squad swimmers are required to attend at least four sessions a week and are required to hold a Swim England Club Compete membership.
Regular attendance has a significant impact on skill progression and swim fitness and we expect swimmers in these squads to make every effort to attend their weekly sessions. Swimmers who do not regularly attend may be asked to give up their space for someone else who can (even where they are up to date on payments).
Warm up is an important element of each planned session and therefore late arrival, if habitual, may result in exclusion from the swimming session.
It is expected that our Competitive Squad swimmers bring along their own training equipment, including:
- a drink in a pool safe bottle
- swim fins
- pull buoy
- hand paddles
- swim snorkel
- kick board
