CLUB SQUAD - JUNIOR & YOUTH
Our Club Squads are coached by Rachael and are split into two - Junior and Youth, based on age:
It aims to provide regular training for those swimmers wishing to improve their swimming fitness and speed, with a view to participating in individual and team galas and potentially progress into our Competitive squad. All swimmers are expected to participate in our annual Club Championships (October) as a minimum.
One hour training sessions are available on Monday and Wednesday evenings and both weekend mornings (see training times below).
Our new members are asked to commit to a minimum of two sessions a week and regular attendance is expected. Regular attendance has a significant impact on skill progression and swim fitness and we expect swimmers in these squads to make every effort to attend their weekly sessions. Swimmers who do not regularly attend may be asked to give up their space for someone else who can (even where they are up to date on payments).
Warm up is an important element of each planned session and therefore late arrival, if habitual, may result in exclusion from the swimming session.
It is expected that our Club Squad swimmers bring along their own training equipment, including:
- a drink in a pools safe bottle
- swim fins
- pull buoy
- hand paddles
- kick board
