Six Exmouth swimmers competed in the Hospiscare one mile swim on Saturday 26th September.  The event swam in Roadford Lake near Okehampton attracted hundreds of swimmers, experienced and novice,  from around Devon.

Tara Dudley, Gemma Franks, Steve Hocking-Thompson, Ian Lang, Mark Westaway and Olly White all competed in the first or ‘elite’ group of swimmers to take to the water.

White left the water just ahead of Lang but was caught in the short run through the finish line; producing an entertaining finish which saw the two Exmouth swimmers tie for fourth place.

Tara Dudley was next Exmouth swimmer to finish claiming victory in the women’s race.  Followed all the way by Hocking-Thompson, Franks, and Westaway.
