Exmouth Swimming and Life Saving Society sent a strong masters squad to the Weyport Valentine Gala at Portland’s osprey pool.
Adam Tapp, Sam Lander, Richard Lander, Ian Lang, Olly White, Mark Westaway, Bill Letch, Andy Pratt, Tara Dudley, Caroline Ball, Neville King, and Louise Kathro were the team, coached by masters coach Bob Clarke.
The gala is contested over 50m in all the 4 strokes and the 100 IM and the squad had a strong meet, dominating the gala. Exmouth won every relay that the team entered. The 72+ girls (Caroline and Tara) completed a 1, 2 finish in every race and the 72+ men dominated their age group with at least three Exmouth swimmers in the top heat of every event.
A number of PBs were set which is encouraging so early on in the season. Our next target is the Royal Navy Open Meet. Click here for a full set of results |
