May– a month of two halves

Football is supposed to be a game of two halves not swimming! Exmouth Swimming and Life Saving Club proved this theory wrong.  On Saturday 10th May 2008 they were last in the East Devon Mini-League Relay Gala competing against Paignton, Newton Abbot, Dawlish and Sid Vale.  Newton Abbott won the gala. The team were disqualified in a lot of races despite swimming to good times.

A week later at their home gala they came first, 22 points ahead of second place Exeter City Swimming Club. They were in first place in 13 out of the 18 relays and second in the other 5.  Altogether the team took in 21 first places with no disqualifications!
