Exmouth Open Water Team took a strong team of swimmers and support crew up to the British Long Distance Swimming Association’s senior Windermere championships held on Saturday 1st October 2007.
The team consisted of five swimmers with the club crewing a couple of other non-Exmouth swimmers who were unable to provide their own crews for the event. Second female swimmer home was Kelly College and Exmouth swimmer Caroline Ball, swimming for Kelly College. First Exmouth swimmer home and leading the group of 4 Exmouth swimmers finishing closely together was Tara Dudley followed by Mark Westaway, Adam Tapp, and Gemma Franks respectively. The Exmouth team demonstrated a huge strength in depth and were easily the most represented Club competing in the championships. Congratulations to all 5 Exmouth swimmers who completed the course in impressive times considering the Weather conditions in the latter stages of the event.
The Exmouth team were thanked for their help crewing for the event by the swim organisers and with a number of other Exmouth swimmers joining the team for the event next year 2008’s championships promise to be as successful as this year’s for the Exmouth team. |
